Discussions

We meet on a monthly basis to discuss current events in Latin America and relevant recently published research and news.

Speaker Events

We host virtual and in-person panels highlighting knowledge from experts in the political, economic, and social developments of Latin America. These events will be open to the entire Stanford community. Emphasis will be placed on international speakers.

We also welcome Stanford faculty to speak at one large event each quarter, holding an interactive discussion afterward, where all students are welcome. These events are either in person or virtual.

Building Community

We strive to create an inter-disciplinary, multi-cultural community on Stanford's campus. By forming a bridge between the Center for Latin American Studies and other departments on campus, such as the Political Science Department, we hope to provide the undergraduate and graduate student body insight into the political and economic workings of Latin America and space outside of regular academic settings to engage in this conversation.
